Analysts work across our exciting portfolio of projects within different social issue areas and develop a broad skill set and knowledge. You can check out some of our work here.
Analysts play a key role in the delivery of projects, working alongside their team and adopting a range of methodologies to analyse quantitative and qualitative data, draw out insights and synthesise them into clear communications and strategies for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic, analytical & creative thinking: You enjoy solving difficult problems and working with ambiguity in complex contexts. You engage in problem solving, analysis and research, working with the internal team, the client, and potentially front line staff or service users as well as wider stakeholders.
- Delivering projects: You work as part of a project team under the direction of a senior colleague to deliver work on projects to drive impact and improve lives. You resolve problems proactively, implement best practices and use robust methodologies in your project work.
- Sharing and communicating insights: You create team and client materials with an aptitude for using presentation and collaborative working tools. You are an active listener and show the ability to ask insightful questions and challenge constructively
- Project management support: You are able to structure and plan your work in line with client and other stakeholder needs. You ensure good planning and management around all project documentation and contribute to the maintenance of all required records e.g., project risk register.
- Working with numbers: You apply logically sound approaches to estimating financial data points and assessing and comparing scenarios in financial terms. You have a good understanding of foundational financial concepts such as interest and the effect of compounding.
About You
This role is suitable for those at an early stage in their career or looking to switch careers into the social impact sector.
- You will have some existing understanding, interest and/or experience of social justice and social issues
- Knowledge of and interest in developing specific skills; depending on the project this might include financial modelling, data analysis, facilitation and partnership building, research and synthesis. If you have knowledge of and interest in specialising in using specific skills such as financial modelling or data science, we will look at opportunities that align to your skills and interest
- You will be comfortable working with ambiguity in complex contexts
- Good communication skills including effective listening, writing and tailoring content for different audiences
- Attention to detail and high standards of thoroughness, accuracy and reliability
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite and online communication and collaboration tools e.g. Zoom, Easy Retro
- Supportive and collaborative team member
- High level of trust, integrity, empathy and commitment to driving social change
