Bridging local and central government, the social sector, and communities, the Government + Enterprise team at Social Finance has specialist knowledge in a broad range of services.
These include housing and homelessness, multiple disadvantage, skills and employment, children’s services, and community wealth building.
As complex issues require multi-disciplinary skills, we can provide support for our partners across finance, innovation and strategy, research and analysis, outcomes-based services, partnership building, community-led approaches, service design, piloting and delivery.
Our work
Building data analysis skills through an adult social care apprenticeship
Building on the success of our apprenticeships for children’s social care analysts, we’re launching a new apprenticeship to teach key data skills to support adult social care.
Working with local communities to address loneliness
Reconnections was the first social impact bond to tackle loneliness in the United Kingdom
Growing the supply of affordable rented accommodation in Enfield
We supported Enfield Borough Council to establish a housing company that addresses the challenges of high numbers of people in temporary accommodation.
Developing an affordable housing strategy in Newcastle
We helped Newcastle City Council review its affordable housing stock and tenant pathways.
Sustainable funding for Newcastle’s parks
We partnered with The National Trust and Newcastle City Council to develop Urban Green Newcastle: an innovative, sustainable delivery model for the city’s parks and green spaces.
