Caroline Gadd

She joined Social Finance in March 2023 having spent much of her career focusing on how data and digital solutions can improve health outcomes. Before taking on the interim CEO role in Jan 2025, she led the design, development, and scale-up of a decision support tool for NHS mental health services which analyses data from electronic health records and other sources to improve patient flow and transform outcomes. 

Caroline has completed a three-year fellowship with the NHS Innovation Accelerator programme so has been part of an innovation framework which supported the scale up of the MaST product, its acquisition by data science company, Holmusk, and its subsequent launch in the United States.

Having worked closely with the NHS throughout her career, Caroline has an established network of healthcare leaders, influencers, and policymakers. She has navigated the information governance, data sharing, procurement requirements, and clinical safety standards to support the establishment of data driven insights within the NHS. 

Caroline has diverse leadership experience spanning different sectors, with facilitation, coaching and reflection being a core part of her leadership practice. She has benefitted from training, coaching and mentoring programmes over many years which enabled her to lead large national teams in the healthcare industry. Caroline continues to be an active member of the Positive Practice in Mental Health Collaborative (PPiMH) and is passionate about the co-production of services and solutions with the staff providing them and the people using them.
