Curtis is the Director and Founder of Class 13, a charity which seeks to challenge systemic inequality with the children’s and young people’s sector. He has been working in the youth and community sector since 2006. During this time, he completed his BA in Informal Education and MSC in Education Power and Social Change. His work features in a collection of essays looking at global perspectives of youth work, and compares his two passions of hip hop and youth Work by examining their roots in social change.
Curtis' practice champions the cultivation and protection of critical thought within young people. Additionally, his work supports professionals to recognise, understand and act on our own contribution to systemic inequality. The Race Equity Advisory Group is a real opportunity to do something different; to develop a community strategy to challenge racial inequalities.
