Jane Newman
She leads our work to develop and support an international network of Social Finance collaboration partners, and works with intermediaries, foundations and others in a wide range of countries to support the development of impact investing and outcomes-based social finance approaches in those countries.
She was previously Director of Governance and Company Secretary of a leading UK social investor, having moved into the social investment sector after a career as a senior corporate and M&A partner at a leading international law firm, where she also managed its international offices in Germany and Mainland China.
Jane is a qualified solicitor. She is a board member of the European Venture Philanthropy Association, an advisory board member of Laboratório de Investimento Social and a member of GECES – the European Commission’s expert group on social entrepreneurship. Outside work, she is a trustee of The Access Project, a charity which works to tackle the inequality in university access for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
